SAUDI GERMAN HOSPITAL - AJMAN
THE HIGHEST QUALITY & QUICKLY CARE
In an emergency, every minute counts in providing the best care. Due to the unplanned nature of patient attendance, our department provides initial treatment for a broad spectrum of illnesses and injuries including life threatening conditions requiring immediate attention and our staff is well-prepared to meet the demands of the emergency room. The families are also catered with sympathy and every care to meet their emotional needs is fulfilled. We are open 24/7 week.
For the triage of presenting patients depending upon the seriousness of their illnesses, the department is divided into a number of separate areas:
This area is used for the treatment of seriously ill or injured patients.
Major treatment area:
This area is used for the assessment and treatment of patients with illnesses and injuries which do not require the facilities of the resuscitation room but may be too unwell to be placed in the waiting room or to be directly transferred to the care of an Outpatient Department physician.
- Separate treatment cubicles are provided for our younger patients.
- A negative-pressure isolation room.
- To prevent cross-contamination of illnesses.
In our Emergency Department, you’ll find a team of physicians and nurses who work together to ensure that our patients receive the best possible treatment.
Three Important Steps
Triage – Upon arrival, the patient is seen by a triage nurse who will prioritize care needs based on symptoms and how the patient is sick or injured.
Registration – A registration clerk takes information about the patient (name, age, etc.), insurance coverage and their current physicians.
Medical Care – Every patient is assigned to a physician and nurse. But it’s likely that the patient will be seen by more than one physician, nurse, and patient care staff member during their stay.
Discharge – If you are fit to go home after treatment, written discharge instructions will be provided. Follow-up recommendations from a member of our staff or a specialist will be mentioned on the form. Once home, if symptoms worsen or change, the patient should contact their primary care physician or return to the Emergency Department.
